This is a story I heard on the commute to work this morning.
Not directly related to this effort, but this quote from the story is:
“I don’t think it’s very prudent to be spending public dollars right now,” said Minnesota DNR Commissioner Tom Landwehr.
If the DNR commissioner doesn’t think it makes sense to spend public dollars on a project to control flooding in the flood prone Red River Valley, how can it possibly make sense to spend public dollars on paving the Minnesota Valley State Trail through the flood prone Minnesota River Valley in Bloomington?
